Welcome!

Hundred Acre Play Care is a school dedicated to the unique needs of children in their most formative early childhood years. Hundred Acre Play care opened in it's new location in 2023 after formerly serving children as Olson Family Child Care since 2014.

Our school is a family child care program in Windsor, WI near the Madison Area. Our program is licensed with the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families and in the process of becoming Accredited through Satellite Family Child Care. We provide professional, reliable care in a small group of children with a consistent teacher.

Every child deserves a safe, loving space to grow and explore the world- we want to be exactly that for the children we serve.

Play is the work of the child.

Meet Ms. Sarah

I'm Ms. Sarah Olson- the owner and teacher at Hundred Acre Play Care. I've always known that I would be a teacher "when I grew up". I have a natural love for helping children explore, discover, & understand the workings of the world around them and a passion for protecting the joys of childhood through child-led, play based learning.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse and have spent time teaching for both the Holmen and Madison Metropolitan School Districts as well as child care programs specializing in Early Childhood care.

In addition to being a teacher, I am a mother. I have three young boys of my own and my in home program (formerly called- Olson Family Child Care, est. 2014) was born from my passion to provide a high quality home program for them and other children.

My days don't look quite like anyone else's- they are messy, loud, busy and filled with love. The memories and relationships my boys and I have made on this journey have been incredible.

The highest professional complement I've ever been paid was from a two-year-old who told me "Sarah, I love living at your house". That safe, loved, happy feeling he had is exactly what I strive for with all of my children.

If you're looking for a second "home" for your little one to experience love and learning in while you're away, this might just be the place.
